Pinning Components

Pinning components allow you to pin a specific component to a specific page or all pages.

To begin pinning a component to one or more of your pages. You'll want to hover over the component you wish to pin, like in the image below. Click on the [[Image:Componentcog.png]] [Cog] to open the components options menu and select "Pin".<br>

With it you can pin a specific component to pages of your choosing.<br>

When the component is pinned to a page, the content is copied from the original component to all subsequent components created on the others pages. Any changes made to the original component will be carried over the the duplicate (pinned) components on the other pages. If you decide to delete the pinned component from a page. This Component will allow you to display a playlist of mp3 files you have uploaded to be played either automatically or manually on one or several of your website pages.

==Important Note==
This Audio Player component is written in flash and is not compatible with iPhone/iPad devices as Apple has removed Flash support from their devices.

==Where to Find==

This Component can be found in the [[Adding to a Page | "Add Content to Page"]] section of the [[Toolbar]].

==Adding to Website==

After selecting this Component, you will be able to choose exactly where you want to add it!

You will see all available [[content locations]] it can be added to - on the current page only (content locations in Gold), on every page (content locations in Red), or on every page under the current page directory (content locations in Blue. For example - if you are editing a page called "About", the blue content locations would allow you to add this component to all pages under the /about/ directory).

==Options==

You can optionally set a '''Title''' to be displayed above the Audio Player content on your page.

The '''Playlist Height''' field will let you set the number of songs that display in your playlist at a time - between 2 to 15.

If you want your playlist to begin playing automatically when the page loads, choose the '''Auto play on page load''' check box.

You can click the '''Shuffle''' or '''Repeat playlist''' buttons to enable these options for your playlist.

Finally, you can '''Enable Pop Out Player''' which allows a user to click a link to open the player in a new popup window. This allows them to continue listening while they browse your site.

==Embedded Functions==

The resulting embedded audio player includes a few playback features for your music files which can be used by visitors to your site.

Components can be added using the [[Image:Addcontentbutton.PNG]] button on the [[Toolbar]].

==Adding to Website==

Clicking the header in the "Categories" area, under the "Components" tab, will allow you to see the components available within that category.

Adding a component is as simple as dragging it to the left and dropping it on any of the available [[Content Locations]].

==Changing Locations==

Make a mistake in placing your component, just feel like rearranging them, or want to add a component to all of your pages? It's easy - just drag the component to the desired location and note the color of the content location area to be sure you're adding it to the currently edited page, or all pages. Start by hovering your cursor over the component:

Then look for the content locations you can add the component to - these are labeled and show you all available locations on your page.
